Dr. Akua Nyamekye Darko is a distinguished researcher and Certified Development Project Manager with a PhD in Geography and Resource Development. A specialist in environmental sustainability and resource management, she has contributed to groundbreaking research on Cumulative Effects Assessment (CEA), including the development of Risk Assessment Software (RASCE) and frameworks for managing multiple stressors in forest ecosystems. Her work focuses on balancing mineral extraction with community preservation, particularly by developing Indigenous-led indicators to assess socioeconomic impacts on the livelihoods and ecology of First Nations communities.
