West Africa Regional Coordinator

Vera Fakor Alomatu Agbenyegah is a seasoned governance, audit, and organizational development professional with more than two decades of experience supporting public institutions, development initiatives, and capacity-building programs across Africa and internationally. As Regional Coordinator for West Africa at Globe & Systems Inc., she leads regional stakeholder engagement, project coordination, institutional partnerships, and program delivery, helping governments and industry partners strengthen governance systems, operational effectiveness, and sustainable development outcomes. Vera’s international exposure through diplomatic assignments in Brazil, India, Nigeria, and the Netherlands has further strengthened her global perspective, cultural intelligence, and ability to work effectively across diverse environments. Signature Expertise: Public Sector Governance and Institutional Strengthening, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Compliance Systems, Financial Governance and Accountability Frameworks, Organizational Performance Improvement, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting, Cross-Cultural Communication and International Relations Background: Prior to joining Globe & Systems Inc., Vera served in several senior leadership and oversight positions within Ghana’s public sector. She held the role of Chief Internal Auditor at the National Vaccine Institute and later at the Nurses and Midwifery Training College under Ghana’s Ministry of Health, where she led enterprise-wide audit planning, governance reviews, compliance assessments, and risk management initiatives. She also served as Head of Internal Audit at the Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI), where she conducted financial, operational, and performance audits while designing and facilitating training programs in internal auditing, risk management, and internal controls. Earlier in her career, Vera coordinated major donor-funded development initiatives, including youth employment and entrepreneurship programs supported by the Mastercard Foundation through the Opportunities Industrialization Centre (OIC). Vera holds an MBA with dual specialization in Finance and Marketing from Ansal University, India, a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), and a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Accra Technical University.
